While you’re not riding you’ll find plenty of things to do to make every minute of your vacation memorable. Some enjoy having time to relax, read, chat, write postcards or update their journals; a great advantage of staying in one place. You may want to take a dip in the fresh, cold water of the Brenta River or head to the local pool for a swim or explore hiking trails if you’re still feeling energetic after the day’s ride. We’re committed not only to riding but also to providing an authentic, educational experience so our guests will return home with unique memories, tailor-made to their interests. Check out all there is to do! There’s something for everyone!
In addition to great cycling, experience all that living in a river valley has to offer.
Kayaking – The waters of the Brenta have provided training for world-class champions. The local experts run one of Europe’s most acclaimed kayak schools. Whether you’re a beginner and want to paddle in still water or would like to try some churning whitewater we can arrange for equipment and instructors at very reasonable prices.
White water rafting – When the water is high you can crash through rapids in inflatable rafts or canoes! A great way to cool off and have a blast!
Hiking – Well-marked trails used by the locals have served, for centuries, to reach vineyards, high pasture, and for cutting firewood. The entire valley is crisscrossed with a network of well-kept paths. Full day hikes can be arranged with a guide.
Capture the essence of Italy with our entertaining variety of optional excursions. Cycling—Made in Italy is committed to designing unique vacations for the curious traveler. No two days are alike. Our itineraries depend on our guests, their interests and inclinations, not a rigid schedule.
Walking tours – Our knowledgable guides help you get the most of your stay by providing deailed information on visits to private villas, medieval cities of Asolo, Bassano and Marostica
Cycling clinics – Cycling and multi-sport clinics with world class triathletes or former professional riders can be arranged. Ask for details!
Evenings out – Attend local festivals, evening concerts at the nearby piazza in Bassano to wind up the day.
No trip to Italy would be complete without a visit to the romantic Lagoon city. Only an hour away by train, one enters a completely different world when stepping out of the Stazione dei Treni. Magnificent Renaissance architecture towers above bustling canals filled with water taxis, gondolas and delivery barges. See the incredibly ornate San Marco cathedral and famous Rialto bridge. Visit glass-blowing workshops and buy hand-made lace on the Lagoon islands of Murano and Burano, or take a day of rest and sunbathing on the Lido di Venezia, one of Europe’s most elite beaches. Kevin Costner stayed here when his film Waterworld debuted the European cinemas.
